Abstract
Education is constantly changing, and strong leadership is needed to guide schools through these changes. This study explores the role of educational leadership in managing change in Sariaya West District. It aims to understand how school leaders influence school-based management and teacher performance, which focuses on key areas such as encouraging innovation, supporting professional learning communities, and empowering leadership teams. This study utilized a descriptive-correlational research design, and the data was gathered from public school teachers through surveys. The findings reveal that there is a strong positive relationship between innovative leadership and effective change management strategies. School leaders who encourage teacher experimentation and collaboration contribute to better teaching practices, professional growth, and overall school improvement. The study also found that leadership innovativeness mediates the impact of change management on school-based management and teacher performance, reinforcing the importance of innovativeness in educational leadership.
