Abstract
This study aimed to determine the relationship between disaster risk reduction and management to school resilience and policy compliance. The study was descriptive-correlational design which involved the participation of the junior high-school teacher-respondents from public high school in Rizal and Nagcarlan District. The data gathered indicated that the perception of the respondents on DRRM readiness and capabilities to school resilience and policy compliance are evident. The impact of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) readiness and capabilities on school resilience and policy compliance is significant and multidimensional. Schools with strong DRRM capabilities can better anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. DRRM readiness often includes retrofitting school buildings, securing hazardous materials, and ensuring evacuation routes are clear. These actions reduce casualties and property damage, increasing the physical resilience of the school. Likewise, compliance ensures eligibility for funding, support, and accreditation. Schools are not only safer and more resilient but are also better positioned to meet policy requirements. The findings revealed that the variables under DRRM readiness and capabilities were significantly related to school resilience ad policy compliance as affirmed by the computed r values when these variables were paired for correlation .
