Abstract
This phenomenological study examined how student dancers manage their time and balance academic demands with intense dance commitments. Students often balance two responsibilities, which can lead to stress affecting both their well-being and academic performance. Through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with the University of Mindanao Tagum College student dancers, this study aims to capture the essence of their daily struggles and successes. Thematic analysis will help identify patterns and themes related to time use, stress management, academic performance, social life, and the effects of dance on their overall student experience. The expected findings will highlight student dancers strategies to maintain balance, such as careful planning, time management, setting priorities, reducing social activities, or seeking specific support systems. The study also highlighted the mental and physical demands of balancing academics and dance and the satisfaction that comes with it. Overall, this research aims to provide detailed insights into the student-dancer experience. This understanding can lead to better resources and policies that create a healthier and more balanced environment for these dedicated individuals.
