Abstract
Negative school image is a concern in education. This study examined the significance of forecasting school image using institutional labeling, stereotyping, isolating, and discriminating as predictors. Predictive research design, stratified random sampling in selecting 241 samples, survey technique, and multiple regression analysis were applied. The result showed that the criterion was significantly predicted, partially and partly supporting the Stigma Theory. Future researchers may explore additional variables to account the unexplained 50.2 variance. School administration, students, and local government officers may reduce stigma through strengthening positive image of school involved in the study. Keywords: Institutional labeling, stereotyping, isolating, discriminating, school image, non-resident senior high school students.
