Abstract

This study examines how organizational commitment mediates the link between teachers’

work values and their quality of work in public elementary schools in the Sariaya West District.

Drawing on Social Exchange, Self-Determination, and Organizational Support theories, it uses

quantitative methods to analyze survey data from teachers. Results show that personal values (e.g.,

integrity, empathy, perseverance, lifelong learning) and professional values (e.g., teaching excellence,

accountability, collaboration, community involvement) strongly shape affective, continuance, and

normative commitment. In turn, this commitment enhances job performance, satisfaction, task

efficiency, initiative, and career growth. The findings highlight that organizational commitment

transforms values into tangible professional outcomes, underscoring the importance of supportive

leadership, adequate resources, and a positive school climate in sustaining teacher engagement and

institutional resilience.
