Solely profit-driven tourism erodes communities. I explored the vulnerability context, livelihood assets, and livelihood outcomes of Talaingod. Using descriptive qualitative design, I purposely selected and interviewed 5 local participants. I discovered that tourism transformed livelihoods in Talaingod but also brought both opportunities and risks. Future researches may examine the role of livelihood assets in the relationship between vulnerability context and livelihood outcomes through mediation analysis. Local government officials, the Municipal Tourism Office, and barangay leaders may implement a community-based tourism livelihood framework to protect local livelihoods, land rights, and equitable tourism benefits in Talaingod.
